Introduction to Admissions

Applications for admission to Nursery are managed by the school.

Admissions to Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (including waiting lists) are managed by the Admissions Team at Trafford Local Authority.

Nursery Admissions September 2025

Templemoor Nursery has the capacity to admit 26 morning places and 26-afternoon places into Nursery in September 2025. The Nursery provides places for children who are entitled to both 15 hours funding and 30 hours funding. For those families in receipt of 15hours funding only additional 'top up' sessions can be applied for an additional cost.

Allocation of places

Allocations are made using the admissions criteria, as set out in the Nursery Admissions Policy. The offers will be sent by email by the 14th February 2025 - please ensure you keep your details updated with us should they change.

Please note that a place in our Nursery does not guarantee a place in Reception. The admissions criteria are different and admissions to our Reception classes are managed by Trafford Local Authority.

Main School Admissions (Reception to Year 2)

In Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, the school has an admission limit of 30 children per class.

Trafford Local Educational Authority is the Admission Authority for the main school, both for the annual intake of children into the Reception class and any in-year requests for places throughout the school.

For admission to the new Reception class each September, parents need to complete a Common Application Form (CAF) through their Local Authority, outlining their choices of primary school in priority order. The Local Authority (Trafford, if you are a Trafford resident) will then process the application and each child will be offered a single primary school place in the April prior to the pupil taking up the place the following September.
