Moorlands Junior School
The majority of our children transfer to Moorlands Junior School, which is only a few minutes walk from our school. Transfer from Templemoor Infants to Moorlands Junior School is automatic, parents are not required to apply for a place.
Although separately governed and managed, the relationship between the Infant and Junior school is strong. Staff from both schools regularly meet up to discuss teaching and learning provision. Both Headteachers work together, and as part of a local cluster of schools. Both Infant and Junior children move between the schools to take part in extra curricular events, or to watch each other e.g. in Christmas shows.
We have a specific ‘Transition’ programme for our Year 2 children. Year 2 children will find that transition is carefully prepared with lots of opportunities to visit the school and meet their teachers before they move up.
